Explore. Discover. Contribute.
Welcome to the Citizen Science Corner, our brand-new space where community curiosity meets real-world science. Whether you’re 9 or 90, this interactive hub invites you to observe, experiment, and take part in meaningful scientific discovery - no experience (or lab coat) required.

What is Citizen Science?
Citizen science is when anyone from the community can contribute to scientific research projects. This may be by collecting data, observing the natural world, and helping scientists answer big questions. Whether you're passionate about birds, bugs, water quality or weather, there’s a way to get involved.

Citizen science supports public participation in scientific research, where members of the community help with collection and analysis of data, in collaboration with scientists and field experts. Citizen Science Corners in public libraries increase STEAM literacy, skills and interest, build community and support Australian scientific advances.

Am I a Citizen Scientist?
Yes - if you're curious, you qualify.
Citizen science is for everyone. Citizen science is all about people of all backgrounds and abilities, getting involved in real scientific research. You don’t need a degree or special equipment, just a willingness to observe, explore, and contribute.
