Get ready for a season of discovery and connection with Coffs Harbour’s incredible coastal birdlife. Featuring a brand-new community-created booklet, interactive science stations and beachside education pop-ups – the Garlambirla Birdlife program invites everyone to celebrate, learn about and protect the birds that help define our coastline.

Celebrate the launch of the Garlambirla Birdlife Program featuring a beautifully illustrated booklet created by local young people in collaboration with scientists and artists. The program and associated publication highlights Coffs Coast’s threatened coastal and migratory birds and invites community to become caretakers of our shared shore.

Step into a hands-on world of bird science during Science Week and beyond! Explore migration paths, bird calls, climate change impacts, nesting behaviours and more through interactive displays and experiments.

Garlambirla Birdlife Outreach Series
August 2025 – March 2026 | Coffs Coast Beaches
Join the City of Coffs Harbour and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service in a refreshed summer outreach series to protect vulnerable shorebirds during their breeding season. Look out for our family-friendly Beach Pop-Up Events at places like Red Rock, Sawtell and Woolgoolga.
