Spacetime: Solar System Mobile

Get creative and discover the wonders of our solar system in this fun and hands-on workshop. By combining art and science kids will explore the marvels of space and create their very own mobile of our solar system. It’s the ultimate summer mission: creativity, investigation, and a galaxy of fun!

Video Wizards & Visual Effects

Step into the world of movie magic! In this hands-on workshop, children will team up in small groups to become creative video wizards. Using iPads, cameras, green screens, and props, they’ll bring their wildest ideas to life and learn the secrets behind the visual effects that make films truly unforgettable.

So, what are visual effects anyway? Visual effects (or VFX) is the term used to describe the different ways moving images are manipulated to create illusions. Visual effects are created in the post-production stage of a film but often require footage captured in the production stage to work.

There are lots of different types of VFX and (as you’ll find out) some are simple to create.

Awesome Animations

Unleash your creativity and bring your drawings to life! In this hands-on workshop, children will learn digital drawing and animation using iPads, Apple Pencils, and Adobe Fresco. From sketching to animating, they’ll explore the exciting world of motion graphics and create their very own animated masterpieces.

Come and learn to make and record music during the school holidays.

Facilitated by local musician and conservatorium teacher Memo Beltzer, this fun half day workshop will be a mix of songwriting, composition, recording & audio engineering with Logic Pro (apple) encouraging creativity with music.

Connect to nature through digital art on Country with Bernard Kelly Edwards

Meeting at Nature Discovery Centre at the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden, participants will be guided on how to connect to Country through observation and reflection and how to interpret those connections using Photography & Digital Art.
