Home library service

Can't visit the library but love to read? Let the library come to you!

The Home Library Service is for individuals who are unable to visit a branch due to a disability, illness, or limited mobility.

Full-time caregivers of participating members can also use this service.

The service provides delivery and pickup of items every four weeks on a scheduled day.

Using the home library service

Step 1.Check you are eligible

The home library service is available for:
  • Library members who are unable to visit the library due to health issues or disabilities and reside within the Coffs Harbour local government area.
  • Their full-time care providers.

Step 2.Apply

The application form includes questions about which formats, topics and authors you enjoy. Our staff will aim to personalise your deliveries to suit you.

You can borrow:

  • Fiction and non-fiction items
  • Large print books
  • Audio books
  • Magazines
  • Music CDs
  • DVDs - documentaries, movies, TV series

We can also search for information such as:

  • Other community services
  • Personal interest topics
  • Hobbies and crafts
  • Legal information
  • Medical information
  • Local history
