When is a box not a box?

When is a box not a box? When you use it to create your own robot, experience the power of magnets, solve mazes, or enter free competitions and workshops!
Toormina and Woolgoolga libraries are taking boxes to a new level with the Winter Creative Journal and Questacon interactive exhibits – available from 3 July until 6 October 2023.
Get hands-on with Questacon interactive displays or recycle up your own robot using this Winter’s Creative Journal featuring the playful robots of local artist – and Robot Lady - Jodi Masters.
Questacon will be at Toormina and Woolgoolga libraries while the Creative Journal and Recycled Robot workstations will be available at all libraries.
“Libraries are a place to explore, relax, get inspired, and find out more about the world,” said Chris Chapman, Director City Planning and Communities, City of Coffs Harbour.
“These holiday programs reflect that by providing high quality, quirky, and engaging activities to do in-library or take home.
“Coffs Harbour Libraries strive to provide life-long learning and access to information and ideas so featuring the work of local creative Jodi Masters with that of Questacon, our National Science and Technology Institute, highlights just some of the incredible, free resources available at the City’s libraries,” added Mr Chapman.
Activities are free, but booking is required for the Toormina robot workshop as places are limited. For all the details and to book, go to the Libraries website - libraries.coffsharbour.nsw.gov.au/Home
