Digital Creative Homeschool Program
Tweens (Ages 8 – 13)
Tuesdays May 6 - July 1 ( 11am – 1pm ) 9 Workshops
Join us for a fun and creative Stop Motion program for homeschooled tweens in Term 2! This program is perfect for tweens who love to make things move! Stop motion is an animation technique where you take pictures of objects or characters in small steps, making them look like they’re moving when you play the pictures in a sequence.
In this program, you’ll learn how to make your own stop motion animation. We’ll show you how to plan a story, create characters, set up scenes, and then bring it all to life by taking photos. We will be using, toys, clay, lego or any objects you like to make your characters move! We will be basing the themes of the narrative on helping others, with examples of how things flow more smoothly when we help each other. This is based on the recently released animation ‘Flow’ which we highly recommend to watch with your children in the holidays.
By the end of the program, you’ll have made your own short stop motion film that you can share with friends and family.
