The Australian Poetry Slam is coming to Harry Bailey Memorial Library this August.

4 – 6pm, Monday 29 August

Facilitated by the current Australian Poetry Slam Champion and two-time QLD champ, Huda the Goddess! This exciting wordshop will help you find inspiration all around you and hone in on your stories. Write a revolution! Then, bring the fire at your local poetry slam heat.

Australian Poetry Slam Coffs Harbour Heat

6.30 – 8.30pm, Tuesday 30 August

This is your call to listen, watch and cheer. Australian Poetry Slam pops up stages near you. The door is open. The mic is on. Push into the crowd and find your spot.

Perform your original work; no props, no costumes, no music. The two highest-scoring poets will represent Coffs Harbour in the NSW State Final!

Writers wishing to participate in the Heat must be at the Coffs Harbour Library door at 6pm to sign up for the Heat. Maximum 20 writers can enter the Heat. All ages are welcome to enter; however people under 18 years of age should confirm with Coffs Harbour Library if they will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Heats begin at 6:30pm.
