Expression of Interest for Coffs Coast Authors’ Showcase

Calling All Local Authors! 

Are you an aspiring author ready to share your story with the world? We invite you to submit your expression of interest to participate in our upcoming Coffs Coast Local Authors’ Showcase. This event is a unique opportunity to present your work, connect with fellow writers, and engage with a supportive audience.

Event Details: 
  • Date: Saturday 26 October 2024 
  • Location: River Oak Room, Level 3, Yarrila Place 
  • Event Highlights: 
  •  Keynote address by speaker (to be announced soon)
  • 10-minute presentations by six selected authors 
  • Networking opportunities and book sales with authors and attendees 

Submission Requirements: 

  •  A brief bio (up to 200 words) 
  • A summary of your work (up to 300 words) 
  • 1-minute short video introducing yourself and briefly discussing your work  

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be a published author currently residing on Coffs Coast (Coffs Harbour, Nambucca, Bellingen LGAs) 

Selection Criteria: Our panel of three industry professionals with public speaking and literacy content experience will select six authors based on the diversity and originality of their offerings, as well as their relevance to our audience. This is an inclusive event that celebrates diverse voices and unique stories. 

How to Submit: Please complete your expression of interest by submitting all required materials through the attached form by 5pm Friday 9 August 2024. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. 

Deadline: 5pm Friday 9 August 2024
