When it comes to finding the right resources to support your study needs and help with your assignments the struggle can be quite real - and Google doesn't always give you the quick answer you're looking for.

But don't despair! The Library has a range of online resources (we call them "databases" or "eResources") that could really make your life a lot easier. All you need is your library card.


The Australian Bureau of Statistics
 provides access to ABS' full standard product range on-line, including Census data. This is complemented by Council's Community Profile data tailored specifically for the Coffs Harbour local government area.
Australian Indigenous Index to the Koori Mail, a national fortnightly newspaper published in Lismore, NSW, that focuses on the Indigenous people of Australia, from May 1991 to date. It is also an index to biographical information from various magazines including: Our Aim (1907–1961), Dawn (1952–1969), New Dawn (1970–1975) and Identity (1971–1982).
 Beamafilm - streaming your favourite documentaries and indie features... "thoughtful movies for thoughtful minds". Beamafilm is Australia’s premium movie streaming channel for true stories and independent voices, featuring a carefully curated and unique collection of over 400 award-winning documentaries, independent features and festival favourites to delight, inspire and entertain you.
CHCC Community Atlas - key socio-demographic characteristics for the Coffs Harbour LGA presented as interactive maps.
CHCC Community Profile provides demographic analysis for the Coffs Harbour LGA based on results from previous Censuses. Included here is CHCC Population Forecasts which looks into what is driving population change in the community and how the population, age structure and household types will change.  

 CWA Country of Study - Central Northern Regional Library in Tamworth compiles an annual list of useful websites for the CWA Country of Study which is currently being updated for 2019. Explore the rich culture, economy, government, geography, and history of Papua New Guinea.

AllAccess2.jpgNeed help fixing your car or motorbike?    You now have free online access to hundreds of Haynes workshop manuals using your computer, tablet or mobile device. Access is available in the library and from your home (or garage) with your library card and password.
National Geographic Virtual Library - brings the National Geographic Society to the library in a cross-searchable platform that fits the way today's students and patrons conduct their research. A powerful tool for research through the 100+ years of quality publications.
State Library eResources - use your Coffs Harbour Library card to access the State Library of NSW's broad range of online resources, including local & international newspapers, full-text journals, magazines, online databases, eBooks and more.

Studiosity - (for years 10, 11, & 12) - ease the stress of the HSC with this free online tutoring service. Studiosity is available in the library or from home (all you need is your Library card) and is the place to go to get help from trained, professional tutors. You can connect live to a tutor, get writing feedback, or make the most of the hundreds of curriculum based practice tests available once you log in.  

 Trove - explore Australian resources: books, images, historic newspapers, maps, archives and more.


World Book eBooks
 - range of informational eBooks perfect for school assignments.
 World Book Online- including interactive encyclopaedias to suit all levels (World Book Kids, World Book Student, World Book Advanced), Early Learning and World Book Timelines.
