Take 3 for the Sea
- Yup, we live in paradise and pretty much everyone in the Coffs area loves the ocean and appreciates how lucky we are to have such fantastic beaches and creeks. To play your part in making the world a better place, each time you head out for a surf, a swim or just when you’re just hanging out at the beach or creek, simply take 3 pieces of rubbish with you and make sure they end up in the bin not the ocean! And remember, swim between the flags on one of our patrolled beaches. Follow the Coffs Harbour Lifeguards on facebook for the daily condition reports from the beach.
teen art.jpgBe a Culture Vulture  -  You don’t have to spend time and money heading to the capital cities to soak up some great art and culture.   Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery (CHRG), (opposite the library on the Corner of Coff & Duke St) has regular changing exhibitions, talks, workshops and other events that will spark your imagination. Exhibiting works by national and local artists and featuring touring exhibitions, CHRG encourages you to bring your curiosity and ponder the creative side of life. Follow the Gallery on Facebook for the latest exhibitions.   To enjoy year-round exhibitions of Aboriginal art, a visit to Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre at Corindi is a great way to spend an afternoon – and you can enjoy some native inspired dishes at the café.  Or you can travel through time and share in stories of romance, bravery, fun, adventure, tragedy and amazing inventions at the Coffs Harbour Regional Museum, on the hill along Harbour Drive.
