Mini makeover for Toormina and Woolgoolga children's areas

You may have noticed a few changes to our children’s spaces at Toormina and Woolgoolga libraries in the last few weeks. Colourful book tubs, new chairs and tables, children’s seating and ottomans have created some new welcoming spaces for everyone to enjoy.

Reading a picture book introduces children to the concept of reading, encourages conversations between older and younger readers, helps bridge generational gaps and introduces children to illustrations and art. They also help children build vocabulary, develop critical thinking skills and help children discover themselves and the world. Feel free to sit and relax in our new chairs and check out our new display walls featuring a wonderful selection of picture books and help us celebrate Children’s Book Week, and the amazing Australian authors and illustrators that bring such joy to so many.
