Radio Frequency Identification Project
Thank you to everyone who completed our recent survey, we value your feedback and appreciate your comments.
Thanks to grants totalling $193, 650 from the Library Council of NSW the Library has introduced cutting edge technology to best manage the Library's resources.

The Radio Frequency Identification
(RFID) Implementation project will improve customer services
across Coffs Harbour City Library through the provision of self-service
facilities, improved stock management/security and efficiencies in staff
processes to allow reallocation of staff resources to more proactive
customer service activities and greater opportunities for public
programs and outreach initiatives.

The self-service facilities,
increased automation and process efficiencies achieved via RFID
technology help to empower both customers and staff, providing a more
sustainable situation whilst maintaining effective modern library
services.
This project also supports
Council’s recently adopted Library Strategic Plan (2012-16), in
particular the objective of ‘Customer focused information technology and
support services’.
