Summer Reading Club

Our children’s Summer Reading Club is on again!  Coffs Harbour City Library has been running this successful program for over 11 years now. The theme for this year’s Summer Reading Club (SRC) is “Heroes and Villains" and we’re encouraging all school-aged children (including those starting Kindergarten in 2017) to join in the fun.

Launch and Christmas Craft Workshop - Saturday 3 December 2016

The Summer Reading Club launches on December 3 with a Christmas Craft Workshop for children to make their own “Bon-Bons”.

Children can participate by joining online or, by calling in to Coffs Harbour, Toormina or Woolgoolga libraries from 3rd December onwards.  All members will receive a kit containing summer reading ideas, a reading log and fun activities.

There is also the option of joining online at www.summerreadingclub.org.au for a range of online activities.

The SRC encourages, reading, learning and adventure, it’s all just for fun.

All books read during the Summer Reading Club from the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge lists can be included in the following year's challenge totals.

See you at the library this summer! Look out for these activities in January 2017.

* Mask Making Makerspace @ Harry Bailey Memorial Library, Coffs Harbour.

* Learn about our local "Heroes and Villains" at Coffs Harbour Regional Museum.

* Movie Night to celebrate the conclusion of our wonderful SRC!
