When it comes to finding the right resources to support your study needs and help with your assignments the struggle can be quite real - and Google doesn't always give you the quick answer you're looking for.

But don't despair! The Library has a range of online resources (we call them "databases" or "eResources") that could really make your life a lot easier. All you need is your library card.

 


Academic Search Premier
- a scholarly collection of information covering a range of academic subject fields.

 
 
Australia / New Zealand Points of View -  a range of essays presenting multiple perspectives of a current issue. Provides overview, point, counterpoint, and critical thinking guide.
 
 
Australian and New Zealand Resource Centre
(ANZRC) - Australian and NZ specific magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books included to create a large collection of regional full text content.
 

The Australian Bureau of Statistics
 provides access to ABS' full standard product range on-line, including Census data. This is complemented by Council's Community Profile data tailored specifically for the Coffs Harbour local government area.
 
 
Australian Indigenous Index to the Koori Mail, a national fortnightly newspaper published in Lismore, NSW, that focuses on the Indigenous people of Australia, from May 1991 to date. It is also an index to biographical information from various magazines including: Our Aim (1907–1961), Dawn (1952–1969), New Dawn (1970–1975) and Identity (1971–1982).
 
 
 Beamafilm - streaming your favourite documentaries and indie features... "thoughtful movies for thoughtful minds". Britannica Online - over 120,000 articles, atlas, multimedia, over 300,000 articles from respected magazines & journals, news headlines, and a guide to the Web's best sites.
 
 
CHCC Community Atlas - key socio-demographic characteristics for the Coffs Harbour LGA presented as interactive maps.
 
 
CHCC Community Profile provides demographic analysis for the Coffs Harbour LGA based on results from previous Censuses. Included here is CHCC Population Forecasts which looks into what is driving population change in the community and how the population, age structure and household types will change.

- designed to support patients' information needs and foster an overall understanding of health-related topics.
 
 
 

 CWA Country of Study - Central Northern Regional Library in Tamworth has compiled a list of useful website for the 2018 CWA Country of Study: Poland. Explore Poland's rich culture, economy, government, geography, and history.
 
 

 GreenFILE - offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment.
 
 
 
Hobbies and Craft Reference Centre - offers detailed "how-to" instructions and creative ideas to meet the interests of virtually every hobby enthusiast. Access leading hobby and craft magazines, Bead & Button, Birder's World, creative Knitting, Fine Scale Modeler, Quilter's World, and many more.

Literary Reference Centre
- a broad spectrum of information on thousands of authors and their works across literary disciplines and timeframes; it includes summaries, criticisms, biographies and reviews.

NoveList Plus
- a readers' advisory service with a comprehensive database of fiction books and authors - great resource to expand your reading and find new authors.
 
 
 
 Science Reference Centrecontains full text for hundreds of science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, and other sources.
 
 
 
State Library eResources - use your Coffs Harbour Library card to access the State Library of NSW's broad range of online resources, including local & international newspapers, full-text journals, magazines, online databases, eBooks and more.
 

 

 Studiosity (for years 10, 11, & 12) - ease the stress of the HSC with this free online tutoring service. Studiosity is available in the library or from home (all you need is your Coffs Harbour City Library membership number) and is the place to go to get help from trained, professional tutors. You can connect live to a tutor, get writing feedback, or make the most of the hundreds of curriculum based practice tests availbale once you log in.

 



 Technology Skills Online - a curated list of useful online tools to help you learn basic digital literacy skills.
