HSC Resources and Services
Library provides a range of resources, programs and services to support HSC students.

The Library holds information sessions and organises HSC events to support the students.
A free session for school groups can be organised to
  • tour the library
  • learn how to use the library's catalogue
  • learn about specific resources
  • access restricted items
To make arrangements to visit the library at a preferred date and time, please contact the library.
Award-winning HSC 'Personal Interest Project' (PIP) assignments for 'Society and Culture' that received 'High Distinction' since 2008 are held in the library. These assignments can be viewed within the library or within a classroom by arrangement. To organise a class visit, please contact the library.

 The Library subcribes to a variety of e-resources. Check out the ANZ Reference Centre for current issues, news articles, and social science subjects; the Literary Reference Centre for English syllabus, and Science Reference Centre for senior science, physics, chemistry, and biology or check out a complete list of EBSCO databases. Library also subscribes to Britannica Online.
 The Library maintains a legal information collection. The collection includes 'Find legal answers' resources  that are easy-to-read, selected by State Library NSW. Some of these resources are specifically for students studying HSC legal Studies. Yourtutor (from Sept 1 known as Studiosity) is an online tutoring service providing access to year 10 - 12 students. Students can access online help Sunday to Friday from 3pm to 10pm. 

NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) provides a range of HSC resources including HSC calendars; guidelines, rules and advice; syllabuses; HSC examination papers (along with marking guidelines, sample answers and notes from the marking centre) from past year's HSC examinations. If you are unsuccessful in finding the information you require, Ask a Librarian service provides you the option to make an online enquiry.
You can fill in the online form and provide details of your specific request and the librarian can email you a list of resources or weblinks in response.​ You will require a valid library card and password to be able to access this service.

'Issues in Society' is a unique series of books with up-to-date information on contemporary social issues.
Each book in the series is a thoroughly researched compilation of the latest news, facts, opinions, and statistics from a range of sources on a chosen topic. Click here to see the list of topics and web links on publisher's website.
The State Library of NSW has created HSC guides and has many online resources for HSC students. To access these resources, simply register online using your local library card.​
