Audio Books allow you to enjoy listening to a story unfold rather than read the words off the page. A great advantage when you have sight difficulties or a long road-trip planned. Audio books come in a range of formats - mostly CD or MP3 discs, although we've also recently introduced self-contained audio book MP3 players - called
Playaways.
With the expansion of digital technologies there are plans to investigate and explore a range of e-audio options, allowing audio books to be downloaded from the internet and stored on personal devices (PC, iPod, MP3 players, etc).
