The library has a small collection of e-readers available for loan to library members.
An e-reader is a portable electronic device, specially designed for reading electronic books (ebooks). They are light and easy to carry and use a special e-ink screen - meant to mimic paper and are non-reflective to reduce glare from sunlight. This technology also makes them use very little power, so you don't have to recharge the battery for up to weeks at a time. The library's e-readers are all Sony Reader Touch devices.
The library's e-readers come pre-loaded with ebooks, with approximately 15-20 titles on each. Each e-reader is genre-based and contains both contemporary/new releases and also some older 'classic' titles.
